La f\u00f3rmula correcta del per\u00f3xido de hidr\u00f3geno se describi\u00f3 finalmente a fines del siglo XIX (Abdollahi y\u00a0 Hosseini, 2014).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fagro.mx\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1915\"\/><figcaption>Figura 1. Per\u00f3xido de Hidr\u00f3geno<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>El per\u00f3xido de hidr\u00f3geno se caracteriza por tener en su composici\u00f3n hidrogeno y per\u00f3xido, es un compuesto generalmente l\u00edquido, incoloro e inestable que se descompone r\u00e1pidamente en ox\u00edgeno y en agua con liberaci\u00f3n de calor, lo cual no genera da\u00f1o en el medio ambiente por eso es considerado como un desinfectante natural (Rao <em>et al<\/em>., 2013; McDonnell y Russell, 1999) aprobado por la FDA (Food and Drug Administration) y la EPA (United States Environmental Protection Agency). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El per\u00f3xido de hidr\u00f3geno es un fuerte oxidante (Pinto <em>et al.,<\/em>2006), esto se debe a su estructura qu\u00edmica que posee electrones no apareados esto lo hace altamente reactivo, el cual le da la capacidad de da\u00f1ar la estructura de microorganismos (bacterias, hongos y esporas) y agentes infecciosos (virus) compuestos por <strong><em>prote\u00ednas, l\u00edpidos y \u00e1cidos nucleicos<\/em><\/strong> (Abdollahi y\u00a0 Hosseini, 2014).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fagro.mx\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/2.png\" alt=\"Modo de acci\u00f3n del Per\u00f3xido de Hidr\u00f3geno\" class=\"wp-image-1916\"\/><figcaption>Figura 2. Modo de acci\u00f3n del Per\u00f3xido de Hidr\u00f3geno<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>El per\u00f3xido de hidrogeno (H2O2) es de amplio uso como antis\u00e9ptico, desinfectante y esterilizante. Es considerado biocida por que ha demostrado un amplio espectro en la actividad antimicrobiana, tiene baja toxicidad y se descompone el gua y ox\u00edgeno en el medio ambiente. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El per\u00f3xido de hidr\u00f3geno comercial se estabiliza para evitar o ralentizar su descomposici\u00f3n (Kampf,2018) ya que por s\u00ed s\u00f3lo no es eficaz, por lo que no se aconseja utilizarlo como desinfectante \u00fanico.
